The process of microblading (3D hair strokes) is very similar to that of traditional permanent makeup up to the point of pigment implantation. Before your enhancement commences we will create the perfect eyebrow shape. A color will be chosen based on your skin tone and desired finished look. This “prep” work is by far the most important- and therefore longest part of the procedure After agreeing on the shape and color, enhancement commences. A topical anesthetic is applied frequently to minimize discomfort. After the procedure is complete, minor redness and swelling is expected. This redness will dissipate within a few hours. Any tenderness will be the worst immediately after and also will dissipate within a day or so of the procedure. Since pigment is only implanted into the first layer of the skin there is much less trauma to the skin than in permanent makeup enhancement techniques Healing takes about up to 2-3 weeks. Immediately after your process your eyebrows will be remarkably stunning you won’t be able to stay out the mirror. Your colour and shape will intensify and darken days following your original session. This will subside and become more natural looking as the skin continues to heal. During the first 7-10 days your skin will heal over the enhanced pigment and will begin to soften as healing progresses into the second and third weeks. Keeping the area clean and dry of water are the most important aspects of healing. No swimming, excessive sweating, sunbathing, or picking at your eyebrows during this healing period! A minor touchup may be needed 3-4 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the shape of your new microbladed brows (this is complimentary) WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING MY MICROBLADING (3D HAIR STROKE) APPOINTMENT? You should arrive 15-20 mins early to fill out the required medical release forms and waivers. Once complete your consultation will commence and your desired brow shape will be drawn out for you to see and approve before your enhancement commences. Your session will last anywhere from 2 to 3 hour. PLEASE NOTE: Everyone's skin holds pigment differently. A second session within 4 weeks can be performed at (NO additional charge) HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED TOUCH UPS? Since pigment is only placed in the top layer of the skin, your enhancement starts fading over time. Touch up sessions are suggested between 6 months to 1 year to keep your newly defined brows looking their absolute best! IS MICROBLADING (3D HAIR STROKES) SUITABLE FOR ANY COMPLEXION? Yes, this procedure can be done on any complexion. Darker skins are particularly good candidates for this procedure. A color match of your natural brow hair and complexion will be performed prior to enhancement services. IS MICROBLADING (3D HAIR STROKES) PAINFUL? Yes and No. Pain and discomfort will vary from client to client. However, a topical numbing cream is applied to ease the discomfort. From a level of 1-10 (10 being highest) most clients have said it is about a 3-4. ARE THERE SAFETY ISSUES WITH MICROBLADING (3D HAIR STROKE) PROCEDURE? No. This procedure is done with the highest level of sterilization and sanitation which are regularly regulated through the health department. Here is my safety protocol: • Pre-sterilized disposable needles which are (opened in front of client) • Pre-sterilized disposable pigment cups • Barrier film on all communicable surfaces • Disposable needle containment system • New gloves between client procedures and throughout your procedure • Distilled water used in disposable paper cup • New wipes, cotton pads and cotton swabs • Hospital grade disinfectant for tables, lamps, instruments and surfaces HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET 3D HAIR STROKES? 18 years of age WHO CAN GET THIS SERVICE DONE? This method of semi-permanent cosmetic enhancement is ideal for ANYONE wishing to enhance or redefine the look of their natural eyebrows. The results are natural looking, 3D hair-like strokes that beautifully blend in with your existing hair growth, regardless of the amount of existing hair you DO or DO NOT presently have.
